Alexa Sadier

Principal Investigator

My research focuses on the developmental rules that shape morphological evolution. I use teeth, ectodermal appendages and sensory organs to understand how animals - in particular bats - adapt to their enviroments on Earth and beyond.

Nathanaëlle Saclier
Postdoc

I am interested in the interaction between the evolution of biological traits, the evolution of the genome and the environment. My current research project at ISEM involves assessing the impact of bat diet on tooth development in multiple species using a transcriptomic approach.

Fanny Gagliardi
PhD student

Fanny investigates the origin and diversification of mammalian tooth classes using morphometrics and developmental biology approaches. She is passionate about bats and will mainly focus on them before expanding to other groups.

Benoît Moison
IE

Benoît studies the evolution of bat tooth shape using CTscans and morphometrics. He is also in charge of maintaining our databases.
